For over 30 years, Terezija Nikolič, an experienced Slovenian herbalist, has been a familiar presence at Ljubljana's central market, sharing her extensive knowledge of traditional herbal healing. Once a flourishing practice, herbal medicine now encounters challenges from the rise of conventional medicine and the influence of the pharmaceutical industry. This short documentary, produced during the YEFF! Film Forum for Cultural Diversity in 2011, provides an intimate glimpse into Terezija's life and examines how her work and business have adapted to changing times.
A film by Claire Billard, Joske Slabbers, Mariana Duarte and Peter Widell.
